陽明大學英語幽默演講比賽

Abstract

今年度的英語幽默演講已於5月26日比賽結束，比賽過程熱烈有趣。比賽之前, 評審老師 Cindy Wu報告比賽規則等。評比內容包含：內容 Content 55％；講演佈局 Speech Development 15％：結構、開頭、主體、支持的論點；演講效果 Effectiveness 15％：所產生的激勵、懸疑、不預期的手法、意外與幽默事件的 結合、對目的之達成。演講價值 Speech Value 15％：構想、新奇的想法及題材。觀眾反應 Audience Response 10％：觀眾注意的程度、笑聲。 可在超時表達(Delivery) 30％身體語言 (Physical) 10％：儀表、肢體語言。聲音表現 (Voice) 10％： 音調變化、音量大小。儀態表現 (Manner) 10％：直接、自信、熱情。語言 (Language ) 15％ 適當性 (Appropriateness) 10％：配合演講目的及觀眾特性。正確性 (Correctness) 5％：文法、拼音、選詞（字）、俚、俗語的運用。另外三位外籍評審分別為 Chris Lowe，Anna Lowe 和 Jim Clark。比賽結束後, 四位評審更給精彩的講評，讓所有參賽者和觀眾受益極大。江惠蓮老師表示感謝許多學生幫忙各項雜務—如主持、攝影、計時、協助頒獎等。準備的過程和參加的經驗, 必會讓你英文演講能力進步很多，也歡迎陽明同學能有更多人參與英語演講盛會。 優勝者 得獎真快樂 第一名 以下為英語幽默演講與會同學英文版即時報導： English Version (by Link Lin) We held the humorous speech contest tonight. Thank Rita Yu (a Spark TMC member) who had bought delicious muffins for us. In the beginning, Chief Judge Cindy Wu, briefed the rules of the humorous speech contest and started the contest. The first speaker was Lindon Lin, who talked about how he dealt with fraud phones. The second speaker was Rebecca Chen, whose speech tile was “Mah-jiang”, but the thing she really wanted to tell us was the “enthusiasm” of college students. The most interesting part was when her friend rode while holding a desk in a strong wind. The strong wind blew the desk as a kite, so he almost flew. It was exaggerated and funny. The third speaker was Jack Chu, who introduced his dog, Lucky, and his cat, Cowboy, to us. Once Cowboy rode on Lucky, and when Jack ordered Lucky to sit but Lucky misunderstood it to shit. His story made us laugh a lot. The fourth speaker was Vic Liu. He used vivid vocal variety to describe different voices of animals, and he mentioned his up and down feelings when receiving his Mom’s telephone. The fifth speaker was Nina. She showed us how she managed her life without her mother. Nina recognized the importance of her mother when she came across with some predicament. It was an interesting and warm story. The disappearance of an excellence and reliable mother, who was like a clock or guidance, made Nina wake up at 9:00 and get lost in a market. I think it can be filmed into movie. After the intermission, judges (Jim Clark, Anna Lowe and Chris Lowe) gave certificates and awards to contestants and winners. In addition, they gave some suggestions to every contestant. For example, “Repetition has a good effect.” “The topic about pets is very attractive.” “Remember to speak louder.” “When you say something interesting, try not to laugh yourself.” Every one learned a lot from the contestants’ performance and judges’ comments!
