dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making methodology (MCDM) model for selecting of A/R collection instruments. The Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) method is used to determine the weightings for evaluation criteria among decision makers, including the managers of the six categories of companies in the Hsinchu Science Park (HSP). The subjectivity and vagueness in the alternatives selection process is dealt with by using fuzzy numbers for linguistic terms. Incorporated the decision makers' attitude towards preference, a crisp overall performance value is obtained for each alternatives based on the concept of FMCDM. This FAHP approach can provide managers with a suitable way to determine the optimum A/R collections instruments.en_US
