Single polarization mode transmission of square-lattice holey fibers with elliptical air holes: Numerical analysis

Abstract

Square-lattice holey fiber structures with elliptical air-holes for single polarization mode transmission by maintaining a large polarization dependent loss coefficient ratio are identified numerically based on the full-vector finite-element method.
