Abstract: This is a case study on a robust manufacturing process parameter design for a blood glucose strip using the Taguchi dynamic approach. An L-18 orthogonal array is utilized to explore the functional relationship between the patient-generated blood glucose values and standard clinical glucose concentration. Based on Taguchi's two-step optimization procedure, the optimal conditions for achieving precision clinical blood glucose tests are proposed. The implementation results show that the yield rate, precision and stability of the blood glucose strip were significantly improved.
