Recent theoretical works on the application of optical phase conjugation in the soliton communications are reviewed and the effect of the in-line filter on the optical phase conjugation is numerically studied. It is shown that, by properly applying the conjugators and choosing the filter bandwidth, the soliton transmission can be significantly improved and its performance is better than applying the sliding-frequency filter for the considered system of 14.3 Gbits/s bit rate.en_US
