dc.description.abstract | We have proposed and experimentally demonstrated a bi-directional hybrid optical fiber amplifier, which operates in the ranges of the C and C-plus-L bands simultaneously, based on two erbium-doped' fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) and an semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA).
