Abstract: A new scheme for watermarking based on vector quantization (VQ) over a binary symmetric channel is proposed. By optimizing VQ indices with genetic algorithm, simulation results not only demonstrate effective transmission of watermarked image, but also reveal the robustness of the extracted watermark.
