Thin filMS Of C60, and C70 fullerenes were studied by Raman scattering, from 295 to 10 K. As many as 48(42) peaks at 10(80) K, instead of 2Ag+8Hg modes in C60, and also up to 65 lines in C70 at 80 K are observed. Room temperature shoulders and mode-splitting are confirmed. They are due to new phases with the reduced symmetry at low temperatures and freezing of buckyball rotation. Besides, laser heating revealed new structures that may affect superconducting property.en_US
