Abstract: | This paper examines the quantitative relationship between power customers' outage costs and their outage depths. Taiwan's cement industry has been chosen as a study case. Thirteen factories were surveyed and, based on this, the survey data of the factories were subject to analyses of variance and covariance. We conclude that an appropriate priority service rate should be designed to meet the curtailable load covering the cement milling and raw milling stage, which represents 68% of the customers' contracted load. The corresponding outage cost of the cement factory is $1.05/kWh. Areas for further research are also suggested in this paper. |
