dc.description.abstractfeature commands creation and variational design capability. In this paper, concepts of incorporating composite features and variational designs are tested in a feature-based design system. Details of the methodology of how this can be incorporated are also presented. A prototype system for a rotational part is built in order to demonstrate the feasibility of the incorporation. Both simple and complex parts are used in the implementation.en_US
