DRESSING EFFECT ON THE ELECTRON-ATOM SCATTERING IN INTENSE LASER FIELD

Abstract

The dressing effect on the electron-atom scattering in an intense laser field is investigated by solving the time-dependent Schrodinger equation in momentum space. It is found that the result of previous works in the literature is only a limiting case of ours. Our method gives a general formulation for the discussion of the dressing effect during the scattering process.
