dc.description.abstractNew exposure schemes for fabricating apodised fibre Bragg gratings using a uniform phase mask are described. A sidelobe suppression level as high as 20dB in the lower wavelength region has been successfully achieved. The schemes allow the writing of truly apodised fibre Bragg gratings using low cost and simple apparatus.en_US
