dc.description.abstract | In this paper, we propose a modified DVB-T system architecture with a multi-carrier multi-code transmission format. The main techniques we use in the system include the orthogonal Walsh code spreading and soft multipath interference cancellation (soft MPIC). Both techniques are used to combat the system degradation caused by the multipath effect. With the spreading gain and the path diversity gain achievable from the used techniques, the proposed system architecture shows much better performance compared with the original DVB-T system. | en_US |
