Abstract: This work investigates the dissociation dynamics of a diatomic molecule under the chirped pulse with the vibrational and rotational degrees of freedom. Results obtained herein are also compared with those of the conventionally used one-dimensional (ID) model. According to the comparison, the 1D model still provides valuable information such as dissociation dynamics. Meanwhile, predictions such as harmonic generation spectrum from the 1D model are impractical.
