dc.description.abstractThe effect of an electric field on the hydrogenic impurity state in a quantum well is studied by using the variational-perturbative method. The variation of the binding energy as a function of the electric field with different well widths and impurity positions is calculated. We have also extended the calculation for the finite quantum well and some interesting points are discussed.en_US
