dc.description.abstractLet F be a two-dimensional manifold in n-dimensional space, and let pi(F) be its projection into the subspace of three of the variables in which F has been expressed. We give an algorithm that computes the normal curvature of pi(F) directly from the equations of F without variable elimination. We also comment on applications in CAGD.en_US
