Religious space is created when human civilization began to develop the spiritual realm of space. In addition to demands of basic animal survival space, human evolution again managed to create a religious space that was civilized scene. Europe is the most historic area where World Religions took place, especially in the Mediterranean region there were significant traces of the religious context development. This thesis selected Marseille as a research field; through site visits, observation and research were done in main religious space in Marseille, including churches (including mosques and synagogues) of the world's three major religions (Christianity, Islam and Judaism). From the analysis and discussion of the factors of history, geography and the national society, the research report will assist a city of self-awareness and self-identity. This will also help developing a specific and profound understanding of religious spaces in Marseille city. This study will be able to generate contributions to urban development planning, especially to get to the bottom on the humanities and social context in the past so that the future extension of the consistency will be able to create a more appropriate match, to reduce error in development policy. The same research way, of course, also applies to cities in Taiwan. However, in the research and analysis of the paper, the city of Marseille as research precedent will help to obtain a more long-term historical context, and more explicitly religious development of information. There may be a lack of information and citations on the research of subsequent urban religious space limitations. On the other hand, the study is on going to develop the view of a more complete and sophisticated data integration. To provide perspective of the religious space research and development in Taiwan, this paper has value to promote a vision of the future specific portrays.
