zh_TW
Recently, MAC protocol designs which exploit the MPR facility draw increasing attention, and several proposals have been found in the literature. However, in practice their throughput performance is still bounded by the channel capacity of the fixed user set assumed by existing works. All users with diverse channel links are assigned a portion of bandwidth to access the channel. As a result, the channel resources allocated to the users with poor channel links are wasted in most cases. In order to avoid the waste in inefficient channel allocation to users with a poor channel condition, we propose two methods: the Adaptive Range Updating (ARU) method and the Adaptive Outer User Inclusion (AOUI) method. By dynamically adjusting the user set based on the traffic load, the central controller (CC) can allocate the channel resource more efficiently. Numerical results show that the proposed methods achieve significant improvement in network throughput compared to other MAC protocols with MPR capability.en_US
