界限調度：設計者與使用者的單子式聯繫

Abstract

本論文主要研究工作，出發點在於嘗試重新評估一基本思想命題：「空間作品是由設計者署名、定義界限並要求使用者遵循規則的主客體關係。」藉由界限概念的定義討論，並參照單子論中主體與世界的複雜關係，設計者與使用者的身份問題將不再被說明為靜止不變的穩定關係中，而是基於界限的流動變化與狀態轉換，以及主體跟隨、佔據或更動界限的行為，呈現為主體與其世界之間的動態聯繫關係。透過書寫內容與版面形式的安排，作品的構成、詮釋與集合，都成為主體調度諸界限之產物，並且最終則指向了構成主體自身界限的力量。換言之，無論界限、思想或身份都經歷主體對於各種元素重新部署以構成其世界之過程，界限調度所涉及多重力量的匯聚，因此可能聯繫於當代關於空間與權力的討論之中。

Research done in the current thesis is based on re-evaluating a fundamental proposition: there is a subject-object relationship between designer and user, the former gives limits and requests the latter to follow the rules, a piece of work concerning space is signified by the designer. By defining and discussing the concept of limit and relating it to the complicated relationship between subject and world in Monadology, it’s found that rather than an unchangeable and stable relationship, status of designer and user involve a dynamic interrelationship between subject and world due to variation of the limit, and the subject’s act of following, taking up, and rearranging the limit. By means of arrangement of textual contents and formats, constituting, explaining, and re-collecting works become products of subjects’ requisition of variable limits. These acts ultimately refer to the force which constitutes limits of subject. In other words, limits, ideas, and identities inevitably undergo processes where subjects dispose all kinds of requisites to constitute its world. For requisition of limits involves multiple assembling of forces, it could be related to the contemporary discussion of space and power.
