dc.description.abstractMany literatures about MBA education have been researched and discussed in decades. More and more MBA graduates are employed in global technology industries nowadays. MBAs are considered to be potential managers in various fields. It is crucial to explore more key factors affecting the association between their future jobs and MBA education. The association between the competency of product manager and the MBA graduates still remain vague and under-specified. This study investigates MBA graduates’ general appraisal from empirical environment of Taiwan technology companies, and studies the competency of product manager. This research also explores some other factors of how to be a candidate of product manager from the position of MBA graduates. This study also provides MBA graduates with more sights of product management’s competencies and challenges before entering this career. On the basis of this study, it suggested that MBA graduates need to expand their knowledge in various academic fields and gain more empirical experiences in order to fulfill the demand of product management job in different sections. This study used semi-structured interviews to collect interview data related to product management from various sections in Taiwan’s high technology cooperation such as TFT LCD section, Semiconductor-related section and Telecommunication section. This research provides a new perspective of how MBA graduates fit the competency of product manager and the way of how MBA graduates improve themselves to fit the requirement of product manager in the near future.zh_TW
