摘要: 駕駛人行駛車輛於道路上時,經常由兩側照後鏡來取得鄰近車道之車況,以便進行駕駛判斷。但不同車輛搭配其照後鏡皆仍存在著不同區域的盲點,且人為粗心或反應不及等各種可能狀況,進而造成車禍的可能性仍不低,無法完全避免意外發生。   本篇論文提出了彌補照後鏡視線範圍不足的方法,可大幅提升駕駛安全性,使駕駛人較能安心的做道路行駛。本系統利用架設於兩側照後鏡下方之CMOS攝影機,搭配數位訊號處理器TI DM6437,進行盲點區域內的車輛辨識,其偵測區域涵蓋照後鏡視線內所有範圍,以及照後鏡本身看不見之死角,達到即時監控鄰近車道路況的效果。系統偵測後更提供警示功能,輔助駕駛人能做出最即時且正確的判斷,並隨時了解側邊車況。   本系統經過實際的長時間驗證,其穩健度及偵測效果非常具有可信度。執行效率最快可達到約59 fps 的CIF規格影像,測試環境包括了高速公路、市區、郊區,無論在日夜的晴天、陰天、雨天甚至下雪天都經過測試,系統皆能適用。
When driving on the roads, the side-view mirrors are always applied to assist drivers getting adjacent lane information. However, the blind spot still exist in every kind of vehicles. Side collision accident might still occur due to the existence of the blind spot or the carelessness of the driver. In the thesis, the method of promoting driving safety is proposed for drivers when driving on the roads. The Blind Spot Safety-Assistance System using TI DM6437 platform which is the digital signal processor (DSP), with the CMOS camera mounted under the side-view mirrors. The system detects vehicles in the blind spot region included the visual areas form side-view mirrors and the other dead space, so that it can monitor the adjacent lane immediately. The system also provides warning function for the drivers, so they can make the most correct decision in time. The system has been implemented and through the long verification with on-road field tests on highways, expressways and urban roadways, and works well on sunny, cloudy, rainy and snowy conditions for day and night time. System performance can reach at most 59 frames per second with CIF format image on the DSP platform.
