摘要: 隨著無線技術越來越發達,各式各樣的無線通訊規格推陳出新,對頻譜的需求也是與日俱增。然而,在現今已規劃使用的頻段中,並非在所有的空間與時間上均進行資訊傳輸,會有所謂的閒置頻譜。由電子電機工程師學會所制定的IEEE 802.22 標準即是為了使用在電視頻譜上的閒置空間,在不影響電視頻道的操作下,以感知無線電能力來取得額外的頻譜使用空間。其訊號發射範圍可達100 公里,非常適合應用在人口稀少的偏遠地區,或者是擁有許多閒置電視頻譜的開發中國家。除此之外還有ECMA 組織制訂的ECMA-392 標準,也是基於使用電視頻譜閒置空間所產生的標準。 在本篇論文中,我們在EstiNet 網路模擬器開發IEEE 802.22 模組,且提供兩種新的節點,分別是BS (Base Station)與CPE (Customer Premise Equipment),以讓使用者建構IEEE 802.22 網路拓樸。期望在提供此平台後,能讓研究者可以針對IEEE 802.22 進行更進一步的研究及發展。
With the rapid development of wireless technology, many different kinds of wireless communication standards are created, and the demand for spectrum is growing. However, the data are not transmitted in all space and time, and there will be some white space. In order to use the TV white space, the IEEE has released the IEEE 802.22 standard to use the cognitive radio ability to obtain additional spectrum to operate, while preventing harmful interference to TV broadcast bands. The signal transmission range is up to 100km, which is ideal for rural areas, or developing countries that have plenty of TV white space. In addition, the ECMA body has released the ECMA-392 standard, and it’s also designed to use the TV white space. In this thesis, we develop the IEEE 802.22 protocol modules on EstiNet network simulator. In our design, we add BS (Base Station) and CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) nodes, which can conveniently help users to construct IEEE 802.22 network topologies. We hope the researchers of IEEE 802.22 can use the developed tool to carry out further research and development.
