dc.description.abstract在此論文中,我們應用一種超寬頻FM(superFM)技術去降低在微蜂巢光纖
系統(optical fiber microcellular systems)中,雷射二極體的動態範
圍(dynamic range)需求。此方法是利用光纖擁有的寬頻傳輸的優點。我
們對此方法作了一個完整的分析、模擬及實驗。從我們的分析及模擬中,
我們知道,當我們使用典型的Fabri-Perot雷射二極體時,這超寬頻FM技
術只能達到大約60dB的動態範圍。因此,可能不適用於巨蜂巢環境中。
In this paper, we apply a super FM technique to reduce the
dynamic range requirement on a laser diode for optical fiber
microcellular systems. The method utilizes the wideband
transmission feature of optical fiber. We present the analysis,
simulation and experiment of the proposed method. From our
analysis and simulation, we know the wideband FM modem
technique can be used to achieve only about 60 dB dynamic range
when using typical FP lasers. Therefore it may not be suitable
for large cells.
