dc.description.abstract學術研究或製造生產LCD,定向摩擦之配向膜被廣泛使用於製造大面積液晶 分子指向均勻之液晶盒,本論文共採用十種正用於生產LCD之高分子配向 膜,並作不同強度之摩擦,以探討預傾角與配向磨種類及摩擦強度之關係. 實驗中,我們測量發現水平排列線狀液晶盒中,預傾角有高至15度,不同之 配向膜,其預傾角與摩擦強度之關係不同,且可利用不同之摩擦強度來控制 預傾角大小.我們亦對配向模摩擦引起之光相位延遲進行測量,來對摩擦強 度作一定量分析,並與液晶盒中分子排列之關係作一探討. Rubbed polymeric films are widely uesd for the formation of a large area of uniform director in a liquid crystal (LC) cell. In this paper,we report that the LC director in a nematic cell has a tilt angle as high as 15 degrees and is controllable th the rubbing strength of polymer films. Ten types ofimide films with varying rubbing strength were prepared for this study. We measure the rubbing-induced phase retardation to characterize the surface anisotropy of the rubbed polymer films. An implication of this study on the molecular alignment in a liquid crystal cell is also be discussed in this report.zh_TW
