dc.description.abstract | 我們期望一個系統按照預定的程序,不停的正常運作。可是一個系統難免 會因為不可預料的過失而變得不可使用。一個高可利用度系統的功能,在 於能容忍不同的機能故障,而能持續的被使用。在本篇論文中,我們在 UNIX SVR4/MP 作業系統上,實作了一個高可利用度伺服器,有效解決二 個常見的機能故障:網路機能故障和伺服器機能故障。藉由雙重網路的架 構,有效復元網路機能故障。而透過共享的 SCSI 磁碟,共享的 SCSI bus 和伺服器替代,則有效復元伺服器機能故障。 We expect a system acted by scheduled process. But a system may become unavailable because of faults. In this thesis, we present an implementation of highavailability servers on UNIX SVR4/MP that can recover from network failure and server failure effectively. We recover the network failure by using dual-networkarchitecture and optional network replication.
