摘要: 本篇論文主要是探討週期性介質波導中電磁波之斜向導波特性. 在本文中 我們首先合成TE和TM兩種極化模, 並且使用精確的三維邊界值問題來加以 分析整個結構.其次考慮斜向導波特性TE模和TM模之交錯耦合現象,以導致 新的禁止帶之產生. 最後我們利用數值模擬的結果來說明這些新發現的禁 止帶,並且考慮不同形狀的週期性介質波導所造成的影響. The guiding characteristics of a grating waveguide is presented for the general case of oblique incidence. The formulation of the three-dimensional boundary-value problem is carried out rigorously, taking into account the hybrid nature of the guided modes. First of all, the TE and TM modes in each constituent region of the waveguide structures are investigated. Secondly, the TE and TM modes are coupled by the surfaces of the grating, resulting in new physical effect of extra stop bands. Numerical results are obtained extensively to illustrate the new physical effect, and to evaluate the effect of grating profiles.
