Due to development of new technology , the ultimate strength of concrete reaches a higher level . The application of concrete in the construction is increasing , especially for rise building and for long span bridges . All of these demand the use of high strength concrete (HSC) . HSC is generally defined as a compressive strength of 6000psi . These requirements can easily be achieved in laboratory , and level 16000psi concrete cab be reached . Because the HSC are generally used for high rise building and bridges , the mechan- ical behavior and characteristics are very important . This st- udy is focused on the mechanical properties of HSC under unaxial compression by using MTS Rock Mechanical System . This research proposal is aimed to study the mechanical beh- avior of concrete with 6000 psi,8000 psi,10000 psi strength. | zh_TW |
