dc.description.abstract本篇論文擬設計並製作一個以新的向量量化演算法為基礎的影像 /視訊 的編碼器。 在此提出新的演算法, 為應用於影像視訊的編解碼系統 -- 以路徑樹狀搜尋為基礎之有限狀態向量量化, 在此演算法中,我們結合 了多路徑樹狀搜尋向量量化與有限狀態向量量化的優點,降低了計算複雜 度及傳輸位元率並提昇了畫面品質。在硬體設計方面,採用完全的管線化 設計, 使其能在 33M Hz clock rate 下, 即時處理三十張 512 × 512 pixel 的畫面。請經由使用不同的密碼簿,他可以處理各種不同特徵 的畫面, 非常具有彈性,而適時的更新狀態密碼簿,更能提昇 PSNR 1dB ∼2 dB,在相同的 bit-rate條件下。 This paper presents a new multi-path tree search archiecture to implement various finite state vector quantization (FSVQ) for real time image/video coding. The proposed architecture exploits the feature used in both tree search and finite state VQs and in the mean time to adaptively update state codebooks so the PSNR is on the average 1dB~2dB higher than that achieved from conventional FSVQs at the same bit rate. Being clocked at 33 MHz this fully pipelined architecture is capable of porcessing image video sequences of 30 frames/second with frame size of 512x512 pixels in real time.zh_TW
