dc.description.abstract本論文是從事 83 年度國科會之產學合作計畫 -『光纖有線電視加值網路 』中部份產品研發、系統整合及其網路規劃。而『光訊』月刊第十五期, 曾對此產學合作有個初步的介紹。本論文先介紹目前在 Internet、CATV 以至於區域網路及都會網路上的視訊服務之發展狀況,經討論和比較之後 ,提出以有線電視為骨幹的網路架構及通訊規約,此即為VACMEN(Value - Added Cable Multimedia Educational Network)。且為了展示此有線 電視多媒体通訊網路能被實際使用,故開發有線電視光接收器、網路用戶 端介面、控制軟体及視訊應用軟体。 In this thesis, we first serveyed several current popular for video service provided by Internet, cable television network local area network (LAN), and metropolitan area network (MAN). In order to implement a two-way interactive video services, we network architecture and protocol which are very suitable for the CATV network. Our new network architecture is named Cable Multimedia Educational Network (VACMEN). Furthermore, we also demonstrated the feasiblity of VACMEN by built-up a testbed network. In this thesis, we also describe in detail the design implementation of optical receiver for CATV, user-network interface, software for network management, and application software for video service.zh_TW
