在行動計算的環境下多點投射訊息的傳輸

Abstract

近幾年來,隨著計算機及通訊技術的進步，以無線通訊的方式進行資料的 傳輸已經是未來科技發展的趨勢。多點投射 (Multicasting) 傳輸是一種 一對多的資料傳輸技術。在通訊網路這是一項很有用的功能。網路及無線 通訊的進步，再加上多點投射繞路的網路協定，使網路上多點投射的目標 得以真正的實現。我們在此提出了一種方法，在目前的網際網路上經由無 線通訊的方式傳送多點投射的資料。在網際網路上「距離向量多點投射繞 路協定」(Distance Vector Multicast Routing Protocol，DVMRP)是一 種專門用來傳送多點投射訊息的繞路協定。我們以此繞路協定為基礎，再 加上「Internet 分組管理協定」(Internet Group Management Protocol ，IGMP)，設計一個在行動計算 (Mobile Computing) 的環境下傳送多點 投射資料的協定。我們的多點投射協定可以相容於現有的Internet 協定 ，而且可以應用在Internet 群體通訊 (Group Communication) 的相關應 用上，例如：視訊會議 (Audio/Video Conference) 及無線通訊會議 (Teleconference) 等需要一對多資料傳輸的環境中。 In recent years, with the development of communication technology, wireless data transmission is a future tendency. Multicasting, the technique of one-to-many mmessage delivery is a necessary function in every communication network. We propose a method to deliver multicast messages on a public computer network, Internet, through wireless medium. In Internet, Distance Vector Routing Protocol (DVMRP) is a routing protocol which is specially designed to route multicast packets. On the basis of DVMRP, we design a multicasting protocol in mobile computing environment. With our protocol, the group communication , audio/video conferenence or teleconference can be achieved in wireless communication.
