dc.description.abstract | 近幾年來,由於無線通訊技術的進步,已使全球性之蜂巢式行動電話網路 得以實現。另一方面,TCP/IP網際網路為目前最廣為使用且具有豐富的計 算資源之資料網路。我們期待,在不久的將來,行動通訊用戶只要帶著一 部具有無線介面的可攜式電腦,就可以隨時隨地的存取資訊。這樣的通訊 環境稱之為個人通訊服務系統(PCS)或 行動計算系統。在建構行動計算 系統時,最重要的課題之一是提供一個廣域的無線網路並且發展有效率的 繞送機制。然而,現今之蜂巢式系統並未對資料通訊提出有效率之分封繞 送機制;另一方面,目前的行動式網際網路協定(mobile Internet Protocol)的發展者則並未針對廣域的行動計算系統提出理想的架構。在 本論文中,我們提出將網際網路與目前的GSM系統整合,為廣域的行動計 算系統提供一個較為理想的架構。我們也針對所提出的架構,發展有效率 的繞送機制。這個繞送機制不僅能與現今之TCP/IP相容,並且能與目前其 它的行動式網際網路協定有效地互連,以提供一個有效率之廣域行動計算 系統。 In recent years, the advance in wireless communication technology has made a world-wide cellular telephony network practical. On the other hand, the current TCP/IP Internet has richer data computing resources and is a wide- spread used data network. It is desirable that, in the near future, a mobile user will carry a portable computer with a wireless interface to access information from anywhere and at anytime. This communication environment is called to a Personal Communication Services system (PCS) or a Mobile Computingsystem. One of the most important issues in constructing a mobile computing system is to provide a wide-area wireless network and develop an efficient routing mechanism. However, the existing cellular systems have not provided anefficient routing mechanism. On the other hand, the current mobile IP developers have not proposed an infrastructure for wide-area mobility. In thisthesis, we propose an infrastructure which can integrate Internet with the existing GSM system to provide wide-area mobility for mobile computing applications. We also develop an efficient routing mechanism for the porposed mobile computing infrastructure. The routing mechanism is not only compatible with the current TCP/IP protocol but also can interwork effectively with the existing mobile IP proposals. | zh_TW |
