dc.description.abstract | 人員的自動識別,不論是用來識別或是驗證一個人員的身份,總是 基於此人員的生理特徵,例如指紋、視網膜、臉孔等,或是基於此人員的 行為特質,例如簽名或是鍵盤的敲擊速度等。但是,沒有一個人員自動識 別系統,是可以滿足所有的需求,一個最佳的應用識別系統的決定,取決 於此系統所要包含的元件成本、可信賴程度、使用識別措施時的干擾程度 、及多少的資訊才足夠用來是別人員,和其他的因素考量。 本論文提 出了人員是別的應用系統的思考程序,意即,利用使一程序的思考,可以 決定特定的環境中,最佳的生物識別系統。本論文則進一步以百貨公司為 例,思考在此一環境中,最佳的識別應用系統,應是為臉孔識別系統,其 最明顯的理由,則是為在此一百貨公司的環境下,使用識別器材來對於人 員從事識別,其所引起的干擾程度大小。在百貨公司的環境中,識別過程 中所引起的干擾程度,應該是要盡可能的小,而臉孔識別的技術是可以符 合這個要求的。 本篇論文,同時也對於應用系統的內部組織份子,加 以定義、分析和思考。對於臉孔識別系統無法完全識別的缺點,也提出微 調系統,來補助其不足。 Biometric measurements have been applied to verify or recognize the identityof a person, based upon some physiological characteristics like fingerprints, iris patterns, facial features, or some behavioral attributes such ashandwriting or keystroke patterns, Nevertheless, not a single mothod meetsall requirements. Involved factors in the tradeoffs are cost, reliability, comfort or discomfort in using the device, amount of data needed to be collected, and others. In this exploratory study, we propose a procedure for selecting a biometricmethod for applying to a given environment. Accordingly, facial recognitionwith multiple cameras is applied to the environment of department stores.Though the techonlogy of facial recognition with a single camera has reachedthe status of practical applicability, in a dynamic environment like a department store, we need aa method to overcome the difficulty of less than100% recognition capability of each single camera. An innovative procedure,named "differential corrections", is introduced; an exploratory system designis given to show the application of this procedure in the setting of multiplecameras. | zh_TW |
