摘要: | 在新一代數位視訊光碟產品中,錯誤訂正碼系統是使其擁有高品質的主要 貢獻者。在本論文中,我們依據超密度光碟系統規格,提出一錯誤訂正碼 解碼器的架構。此晶片的閘數要比傳統使用並列式錯誤訂正碼解碼器的架 構少得許多。此晶片用了 23000 邏輯閘數完成設計,其中錯誤訂正碼功 能方塊使用了 18500 邏輯閘數。我們採用 Berlekamp-Massey 的演算法 完成內碼和外碼之解碼。在解削短的 RS 碼時,我們修改 Chien Search 方法,以減少硬體並符合超密度光碟系統規格的時間要求。藉者時間多工 ,我們使用同一個硬體完成內碼和外碼之解碼。藉者稍微修改緩衝記憶體 管理的功能方塊,此錯誤訂正碼功能方塊亦可被使用於內碼和外碼之編碼 ,因此在超密度光碟系統的錄影功能時,我們不須額外使用一編碼器。 The Error-Corretion Code (ECC) system contributes largely to the quality improvement in the next generation digital video disk products. In this thesis, we propose the architecture of a ECC decoder used in SD disc system. The gate counts of this chip is much less than that using the the conventional parallel architecture.The whole chip is implemented with 23000 gates in which the ECC block uses about 18500 gates. The Berlekamp- Massey's algorithm is employed to decode the inner code and the outer code. A modified Chien search is used in decoding shortened RS code. We also use time-multiplexing method to decode the inner code and the outer code in common hardware. By modifying the controlling of BM block slightly, the ECC block can be used to encode the inner code and the outer code. Therefore, there is no need to include an encoder for the recording mode in SD disc system. |
