摘要: 本论文提出一种新式的方法来设计在微波单晶积体电路上所使用的传输线
变压器。这种变压器是需要两层金属的结构做传输和耦合,而这样的结构
是很容易在微波单晶积体电路上,利用MIM的制程来制作。根据场论的方
法来计算1:4阻抗比的变压器和反相变压器的结构形状,可以得到他们的S
参数。这些网路参数在变压器的合成分析是有用的。从1:4阻抗比的变压
器的网路参数中,可以分析出由集总元件构成的等效电路。使用这相同的
设计手法来设计低通滤波器来做例子,实作测量和理论模拟是相当吻合的
。最后,提出一种新型的单晶差动低杂讯放大器电路当做本论文的应用电
路;而上述中所有的电压器都将被使用在这个电路中。
A novel design methodology for transmission-line transformers
used in monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) is
presented in this thesis.The transformers are easy to be
implemented by metal-insulator-metal (MIM) process because they
need only two levels of metal interconnections. The S-parameters
of a1:4 impedance transformer and a differential balun have been
obtainedby field-theoretical means. These network models are
useful for synthesis of the transformers. The fitted lumped
equivalent circuit for the 1:4 impedance transformeris extracted
from the model. A low-pass filter example is designed by the
theoretical approach. Agreement is obtainedwhile comparing the
theoretical and experimental results. A novel monolithic
differential low noise amplifier usingall the transformers is
presented as the application.
