dc.description.abstract由於光學傳輸與高速VLSI技術的日益精進,使得寬頻通訊網路上可以提供 更多樣化的服務。 而ATM交換機在B-ISDN的整合過程中,被視為一個極為 重要的技術。 ATOM(ATM Output buffer Modular)交換機是一種具有簡易結構和高效能的輸出埠暫存 器型交 換機結構。在ATOM交換機 中,位址控制器的功能是根據封包的輸出埠位址(output port address) 和封包優先權 (Priority),對指定的輸出埠FIFO暫存器產生寫入致 能信號,使得 交換機輸入埠(Input Port)的資 料能正確的傳送至指定的輸出埠(Output Port)上。 此外,在ATM 交換機中,需要一個交換機控制器來處理signalling的資料,更新輸入埠 控制 器的標頭轉換表(Header Translation Table),與設定交換機的初 使狀況。 在本論文中,我們使用Xilinx公司出品的FPGA 晶片來實現位址控制器,並對此電路予以 模擬驗証。並且使用ISA匯 流排為基礎的PC界面卡來實現交換機控制器界面。 Advances in optical transmission and high-speed VLSI technologies are expected to bring about attractive broadband communication services. ATM switching is regarded as an especially significant technology for service integration in future B-ISDN. ATOM(ATM Output buffer Modular) switch is a kind of output- buffer switch with a quite simple structure and high- performance advantages. In ATOM switch, the address controller checks the output port address and priority of each cell than generates memory write control signals for destined output port FIFO buffers. Besides, in an ATM switch, a call processor is required to process signalling data, configure switch, and update header translation table. In this thesis, we use Xilinx's FPGA Chip to implement address controller of ATOM switch, and verify timing of the designed circuit. We also implement a switch processor interface card based on ISA bus.zh_TW
