提升備用件存貨週轉率之研究--以半導體設備業為為例

Abstract

供應昂貴設備及其所需零配件為高科技產業設備供應商的主要工作。以 半導體產業設備供應商為例，由於機台設備的故障停機將導致嚴重的當機 成本，因此機台設備的品質要求和零件備料的順暢供應是設備供應商之客 戶的主要需求。為滿足客戶隨時可能發生的緊急訂單，設備供應商必須維 持相當高的存貨水準；為供應高品質的零件備料，昂貴的取得成本造成高 額的存貨管理及資金積壓成本。因此兼顧客戶服務水準和總存貨週轉率是 設備供應商當前面臨的重要課題。 基於目前設備供應商並無一套有系統 的方法來同時兼顧客戶服務水準及總存貨週轉率，本研究提出一套決策程 序。設備供應商可經由此程序的逐步調整，使得存貨週轉率在滿足客戶服 務水準的要求下有相當程度的提升，研究中亦包含對第二競爭者競爭模式 的討論，實例的探討證明了本方法的可行性。 The provisioning of expensive equipment and corresponding spares is the fundamental activity of suppliers in high-tech industry such as semiconductor manufacturing. The equipment is often critical to the manufacturing processes in wafer fabrication, and their unavailability may lead to excessive downtime cost. As a result, the procurement of reliable equipment and the provisioning quality of repairing service are important to semiconductor industry. Therefore, the service level of spares may affect the sales of equipment and it is one of the most important performance indices for equipment supplier in this environment. Due to the high procurement cost, the inventory cost constitutes a large part of investment for equipment supplier. The increase of inventory turn will be an important mission as well. Therefore, how to increase inventory turn under a satisfied service level is a critical issue in this industry.This research proposes a decision support procedurles adjustment, safety stock determination for each parts, and reasonable lead time for each part to beat second-source competitors and to attract more demand are also discussed.
