網際地理資訊系統之伺服端地圖編輯器之設計

Abstract

地理資訊系統(Geographic information system)的主要目的在處理環境 資料的資訊系統。網際網路上資料流通快速與廉價之特性，造成其不可擋 的優勢。因此地理資訊系統的近來的研究發展，也朝向如何整合網際網路 的議題。本研究即在探討如何在現有的關連式資料庫上建構一個具物件導 向的地圖資料編輯系統。並且思考將地理資料的定義能適合網際網路的環 境並與WWW結合。因此本研究認為，在網際網路異質資料庫的環境下，必 須要有一致的資料擷取與管理方式。因此本研究將地理空間資料建置在關 連式資料庫上，捨棄過去將空間資料以檔案系統儲存的方式。在此基礎下 ，本研究在資料庫管理系統之上，加一層物件轉換的系統，以利使用者的 操作並增加系統的擴充性。最後本研究提出一地圖資料編輯器，以驗證這 種設計方式可應用於網際網路環境，並提供一致性的資料操作方式。 GIS is mainly an information system dealing with environmental data. The speedy circulation and cheapness of data in the internet cause its overwhelming domination. The recent research of GIS is aiming at integration with internet. This research is to discuss how to construct an object oriented Map Editor upon current RDBMS and define geographical data structure, making it suit for the environment of internet and combining with WWW.This Our research assumes that internet is an environment with heterogeneous database. In this case, coherent access to data and management system should be required. Thus, we store RDBMS instead of traditional file system with geographical spatial data. It will provide users with more convenient operation and reinforce system's expandability. Finally, we develop a Map Editor to prove this design can apply to internet, and provide a coherent method of operation.
