摘要: | 中國古籍及歷史經驗顯示『勢』概念與人、群體、組織等複雜生命系統的 發展、管理有關,惟由中國古籍及現代常用的『勢』辭彙,顯示『勢』的 意義缺乏深刻的剖析、而難以深入理解其內涵,使得『勢』概念難以直接 與有體系的現代管理知識相互融用。 本研究便是要使『勢』的內涵更易 於理解,從而使『勢』概念能融用於現代管理。本研究蒐集了韓非子等五 本古籍中的『勢』陳述句,以及七本現代辭典中的『勢』辭彙,在將註家 與辭典對『勢』的解釋予以歸納、詮釋後,再以現代的系統動態學觀點, 就『勢』的內涵與性質作進一步的剖析,並據以討論『勢』概念在現代管 理的意涵,因此,本研究的主要成果包括: 1.本研究彙總『勢』概念 的各種強調點的共通意涵而歸結出『勢』的意義為:『勢』是某一行動主 體所處之群力交推情境,『勢』情境的群力交推所形成的演變趨向,具有 導引該行動主體的行為或演變的能力。典籍中的『勢』概念的強調點,其 意義可由歸結出的『勢』意義而有更為豐富與清晰的反映,從而使得『勢 』概念較容易理解。 2.經參酌現代的系統動態學觀點,本研究發現『 勢』的主要特性如:『勢』的群力交推與演變趨向可由『勢』的動態、及 『勢』情境的動力作用兩項層面予以觀察與瞭解、『勢』的群力作用型態 是種具複雜變化的網路型態、『勢』情境的描述依所選擇的時間尺度與空 間範圍尺度的不同而有差異、『勢』情境的總體動態並不是各局部動態的 簡單加總、行動主體必須在本身條件或相關事物之互動關係上有基本、重 大的改變才可能改變所處『勢』的動態及動力作用。 基於歸納與剖析後 的『勢』概念,本研究乃探討『勢』概念與不明朗情境下之高階管理間的 關係,從而提出情境研判架構、紊亂與遞移情境下之管理決策、及內外溝 通等高階管理應有的作為,以使『勢』概念能融用於現代管理。最後,本 研究依據歸納與剖析後的『勢』概念,對高階管理可參考的典『勢』陳述 句作較有系統的討論,以使中國典籍所蘊含的『勢』的理念能更恰當地運 用到現代的管理情境。 This paper investigates the concepts implied in "Shih" -- an ancient Chinese word that was related to the development of living systems, like person, group, or organization. Considering the investigated results, this paper explores the modern management implications of "Shih" to show that "Shih" can be applied to modern management situations and makes some useful management ideas. Through the induction to common explanations of "Shih", it is summarized that "Shih" indicates multi-forces interacting situation on which an action subject situates. The situation's evolutionary trend as a result of the situation's multi-forces interacting influences the behavior of the action subject. In order to discuss the management implications of "Shih", the multi-forces interacting and evolutionary trend of "Shih" situation is analyzed in perspective of System Dynamics. The results show that "Shih" has the following main characteristics: 1.The configuration of interaction of forces in "Shih" situation is a complex changing network. 2.The description of "Shih" situation makes difference while time scale or space scale is changed. 3. The global dynamic of "Shih" is not a simple addition of lacal dynamic. Considering the analysis and inductionof "Shih" concepts, this paper discusses the top management problem in ambiguous situation to propose some top management ideas, including framework for situation assessment, management decision in turbulent situation and transient situation, and communictation. Finally, some "Shih" statements, in ancient Chinese text, for top management are discussed systemically, to show that ancient Chinese wisdom can be applied to modern management more appropriately. |
