dc.description.abstract  随着传播媒体的发达,资料型态日益多元化,资料量也越来越大,
现代的资料库必须要能够处理这种大型资料上的问题,而二元大型物件的
主要目的就是用来储存这类型资料的储存格式. 一般而言,设计二元
大型物件的时候,必须要考虑到许多层面的问题,包括磁碟存取,缓冲区
管理,储存资料结构,多工协同控制与溃损回复等等的问题,因此我们将
会对以上的问题作一个讨论与分析. 在我们的系统中,将会利用两种
方法来实作CACTUS中储存资料的结构,另外还会提出一个类似磁碟阵列的
多伺服器二元大型物件的概念,以加速二元大型物件的存取;此外由于
CACTUS是一个对等式的物件导向储存器,因此我们还会在论文中针对二元
大型物件在快取区与网路传输时的影响,做一些讨论.
As the communication media progress through time, all kinds
of information grow in variety and the quantity of data grows in
size. Therefore, modern database needs to be capable of dealing
with large quantity of data and that is exactly the purpose of
designing Binary Large Object - to store this particular type of
data. When designing BLOB, We have to consider about many
aspects of problem such as disc, buffer management, data
structure, concurrency control and recovery. Later, we will
discuss and analyze those questions above. In this project,
we will apply two methods to implement the data storage
structure of Collaborated Autonomous Chiao-Tung Universal
Storage System. Moreover, we will present another multi-server
BLOB structure, which is similar to disc array, to speed up the
access of BLOB. As CACTUS is a peer-to-peer object oriented
storage, we will present discussion in cache and network
transformation of BLOB in this thesis.
