摘要: 本研究利用Witting reaction將carbazole與phenylene vinylene單體串接成高分子,而得PCVPV-p與PCVPV-m兩種共軛高分子發光材料,預期材料之carbazole vinylene phenylene vinylene結構使其具有電洞傳導功能。PCVPV-p在430°C時有5%的熱重損失,Tg點244°C;PCVPV-m在460°C時有5%的熱重損失,Tg點208°C,兩種copolymer材料均可溶於chloroform中,並可以旋轉塗佈法製成薄膜。PL光譜顯示PCVPV-p之發光波長在450nm;PCVPV-p之發光波長則在435nm,PCVPV-p因其phenylene vinylene之meta配位使其發光波長呈現blue shift。另一方面,Al / copolymer / ITO元件之電壓-電流關係曲線亦顯示二極體之特性。此外,copolymer分別摻雜不同比例之電子傳導分子Alq及PBD所製成之元件,則可以測量到加寬且有red shift之EL發光光譜。
Poly(N-ethylcarbazole vinylene-1,4-phenylene vinylene) (PCVPV-p) and poly(N-ethylcarbazole vinylene-1,3-phenylene vinylene) (PCVPV-m) were synthesized by a Witting reaction from the carbazole and phenylene vinylene monomer. The two copolymers showed good thermal stability and had decomposition temperatures (at 5% weight loss) of 430°C and 460°C, and glass transition temperatures of 244°C and 208°C, respectively. The photoluminescence (PL) spectra showed the two copolymers had emission peaks on 450nm (PCVPV-p) and 435nm (PCVPV-m), therefore PCVPV-m showed a blue-shift comparing to PCVPV-p. The Al / copolymer / ITO devices also showed good diode characteristics in their I-V curves. Besides, the LED devices of the copolymers, doped with some certain percentages of Alq and PBD, showed broad and red-shifted electroluminescence (EL) spectra.
