dc.description.abstractThe finite ground plane effects on the first higher-order mode and the dominant mode of a microstrip is presented. Two special cases of the finite ground plane (the symmetric structure and the reverse structure) are discussed in this thesis. A new additional leaky mode is reported. We introduce the current distributions and the dispersion characteristics of this mode.en_US
