dc.description.abstract在本論文中我們在實驗上分別利用光纖光柵及可調波長的Fabry-Perot 濾波器來對沒有鍍抗反射模的商用Fabry-Perot 半導體雷射進行光回饋以增加其側模抑制比,我們也建立了一套理論來分析及預測在有空間燒洞及光回饋效應下的連續波雷射之側模抑制比大小。實驗結果顯示當回饋量達到輸出功率的0.8%時,雷射側模抑制比即可達30 dB以上,與理論的計算還算符合。我們也在實驗及理論上探討了利用側耦合式光纖光柵共振濾波器來製作長共振腔單模光纖雷射之可能性。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractIn the thesis we experimentally study the side-mode suppression ratio of a commercial non-AR coated Fabry-Perot semiconductor laser with optical feedback form either a fiber grating or a tunable Fabry-Perot filter. We also develop a theoretical model to predict the side-mode suppression ratio of CW lasers with the effects of spatial hole burning and optical feedback. We experimentally prove that the side-mode suppression ratio of the non-AR coated Fabry-Perot semiconductor laser can be more than 30dB when the optical feedback ratio (i.e., feedback power/laser output power) is around 0.8%. The experimental results agree reasonably well with the theoretical predictions. We also theoretically and experimentally study the possibility of building single-mode Er-fiber lasers by using side-coupled fiber grating resonant filters.en_US
