dc.description.abstract本研究主要的目的是要合成含□吩之側鏈液晶高分子,探討□吩環對所合成化合物液晶行為的影響。本研究選擇以聚甲基丙烯酸酯為高分子主鏈,以3至11個亞甲基單位為柔軟間距,液晶基係以□吩環接上二個苯環為主要結構,以氰基、碘與甲氧基為末端基,所合成的單體經自由基反應聚合。合成所得單體以核磁共振光譜儀鑑定其結構,所有單體及聚合物皆以微差掃描卡計、偏光顯微鏡測定液晶轉移溫度及鑑定其液晶相。研究結果顯示三系列單體與聚合物,均具有液晶相。本研究所合成的液晶聚合物具有開發作為管柱層析儀之靜相充填物與可重覆抹寫光碟片染料的潛力。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractThe goal of this research is focused on the synthesis of side chain liquid crystalline polymers containing thiophene –based mesogens. Three series of new side chain liquid crystalline polymers were prepared according to careful molecular design of polymer backbone, spacer, mesogen and end group. Polymethacrylates is used as the polymer backbone. Three to eleven methylene units are used as flexible spacer. Biphenyl thiophenecarboxylate is designed for the mesogen, and cyano, iodo, methoxy group are designed for the end group. The prepared liquid crystalline monomer were polymerized via radical polymerization. The obtained monomer and polymer were determined by NMR and their mesomorphic properities were determined by DSC, optical polarizing microscope. All three series of monomers and polymers present mesomorphic properties with wide temperature range. The synthesized liquid crystalline polymers have potential applications in the field of stationary phase of column chromatography, and the material of rewritable optical disk.en_US
