dc.description.abstract	Strictly totally positive matrices play an important role in various mathematical branches, but there are not very familiar even to linear algebraists. It is the purpose of this thesis to introduce the known properties of these matrices and their self-contained proofs. Some observations and open problems are given in the end.	en_US
