摘要: 對於身處快速變遷產業環境中的企業,如何保有其競爭力以永續經營是一項持續不斷的挑戰。 尤其在面臨產業驟變而其內部管理及策略失焦之際,企業能否成功的扭轉劣勢與其所採取對外部環境與市場之因應策略, 以及內部之作業流程與組織變革,均有密不可分的關係。 本論文目的在以個案型態研究台揚科技於一九九七年的重整過程,以探討其轉型前所面對之問題及背後之關鍵成功要素。 主要內容包括對通信產業與市場之分析、台揚科技之核心能力探討、以及檢視台揚科技所採取之集中火力專注本業的營運策略與決策過程、變革前後之策略、產品市場組合、組織結構及績效指標差異進行對照比較。 本研究最後並對台揚科技在一九九七年重整後迄今所面臨之新機會與挑戰提出後續研究方向之參考建議。
In the ever-changing business environment, staying competitive is a continuous challenge to all established companies. While companies may from time to time fall into the pitfalls of management and trapped by industrial downturns, how and why a company can successfully recover depends on the strategy it adopts to cope with the external environment and customers, as well as the internal business process and operational structure. This thesis is a research about the changes and innovation took place at MTI - Microelectronics Technologies Inc. in 1997. This research is aiming at identification of the key success factors in MTI’s 1997 restructuring and turnaround, and it examines telecommunication market environment, the core competencies of MTI, the focusing strategy that MTI pursued in its fundamental business model, and analyzes the decision making process of MTI’s management team and customer relationship during the process of this restructuring.
