dc.description.abstract受激布里淵散射具有許多有趣特性且已被應用在很多地方,像是光纖雷 射、光放大器、光偵測器等。因為增益頻寬相當窄,所以我們可以利用此特 性來產生窄線寬的布里淵光纖雷射。不過目前的研究結果都受到一些限制 而無法兼顧線寬、輸出光功率及對環境擾動的忍受度。在本論文中,我們發 展了一個窄線寬偏振保持布里淵光纖雷射,其輸出光短期線寬小於 2.5 kHz,在幫浦雷射功率 700 mW 的情況下可有 100 mW 的光輸出,並對環境擾 動有較好的容忍度。我們也進一步的加強了短共振腔布里淵光纖雷射的窄 線寬效應讓幫浦雷射與最終輸出光之間的線寬比率達到 800 倍,比傳統的 50 倍要高上許多。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractStimulated Brillouin scattering has attracted a lot of attention for its interesting characteristics which are very promising for applications including Brillouin fiber lasers, optical amplifiers, and distributed fiber sensors. Its linewidth narrowing effect make it possible to generate Brillouin fiber lasers with narrow linewidth, although many results are restricted in some ways such that the excellent performances on output linewidth, output power and insensitivity to environ- mental perturbations can not be all achieved. In this thesis, we demonstrate a polarization-maintaining Brillouin fiber laser with the short-term linewidth less than 2.5 kHz and the output power as high as 100 mW when the pump power is 700 mW. The linewidth ratio between the pump laser and the Stokes light is enhanced to be 800 times, much better than the conventional results of 50 times.en_US
