摘要: | 基于画面内复制预估方式,我们于本论文提出一画面内线型区块复制预估模式,将画面内复制之基本区块延伸至更小单元,以提升高效能视讯压缩(High Efficiency Video Coding, HEVC)之视窗视讯编码效率。此模式之运作方式如下:首先,将目前的预测区块以水平或垂直的方式切割成数个宽度为一个像素大小的线型区块;接着,所有线型区块逐一于目前画面之重建区域内进行画面内复制。此模式所引用的概念近似用于无失真资料压缩之字串匹配演算法。然而,相较于字串匹配演算法,此预估模式更能相容于高效能视讯压缩之设计架构,且其具备较高的平行处理能力。于本论文中,我们将针对此模式之各种设计议题进行探讨,包含以杂凑为基础的快速区块向量搜寻演算法、对于记忆体存取频宽与CABAC吞吐量之影响。实验结果显示,当我们将画面内线型区块复制模式整合至视窗视讯编码之测试平台SCM-1.0时,其可带来2.0-7.5%之位元率下降,且仅造成10%的编码执行时间上升与几乎无影响的解码时间。 In this thesis, we present an intra line copying mode, which introduces a finer-granularity block partitioning structure for the intra copying technique, to further improve the compression efficiency for HEVC Screen Content Coding. This mode first divides a prediction block horizontally or vertically into 1-pixel-wide lines and then operates intra copying line-by-line from the reconstructed pixels in the current frame. It shares some parallels with the notion of string matching widely used for lossless data compression. It, however, is more compliant to the current HEVC design and is parallel-friendly. This thesis shall detail its various design issues, including the design of a fast block vector searching algorithm based on hashing techniques, and the impact on the memory access bandwidth and CABAC throughput. Experimental results show that the proposed mode can offer 2.0-7.5% of BD-rate reductions, with only 10% increase of encoding runtime and negligible impact on decoding runtime, when integrated into the SCM-1.0 test model. |
