摘要: 網路服務的發現以及結合的一個重要因素是服務的QoS。tModels可以表示在UDDI的服務的QoS,OWL可以表示在UDDI外部的服務的QoS,OWL與tModel的結合可以解決在UDDI內部服務的發現以及結合中QoS描述不足的問題。例如:QoS之間的關係以及QoS的描述。另外也提出QoS 值在UDDI儲存位置的修改,來提昇服務發現以及結合的效率。最後做UDDI外部(OWL)與內部(tModels)網路服務發現與結合的一致性。
Service providers publish the information of businesses, services and protocols to UDDI and service requesters acquire required services via the APIs of UDDI. However, one of important criteria for service selection or discovery to form a desired composite service is service QoS. tModels in UDDI is a mechanism to describe service attributes and that can be used to represent QoS. The insufficient expression power of tModels and sophistication of QoS properties require OWL, an ontology language, to characterize them for service discovery. Therefore, when web service composition process takes place, the individual service’s QoS (tModel and ontology) needs to be aggregated to generate a single QoS profile for the composite service and posted it on the UDDI. However, representing and storing the values of QoS attributes is problematic, as the current UDDI was not designed to accommodate these emerging requirements. To solve the problems of storing QoS in UDDI and aggregating QoS, a new QoS tModel has been proposed in this research. The proposed QoS ontology describes the relationship between the QoS of each service using OWL language and can be aggregated for Web services composition. This research also includes a number of experimental results to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
