摘要: 合作式通訊(cooperative communication) 運用了合成之空間多樣性技術(spatial diversity)能有效的克服通道之衰落(fading)效應。其性能經理論證明可大幅的超越 非合作的通訊。為深具潛力之下世代寬頻無線之前瞻通訊技術。本整合型計畫旨在研 究以正交分頻多工(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing; OFDM) 為基礎之 合作式通訊系統,期以三年的時間建立控制層與實體層的關鍵技術,同時也進行合作 式OFDM 系統雛形的實作。本計畫包含五個子計畫。子計畫一負責設計合作式OFDM 系 統之跨層機制與服務品質研究。子計畫二負責用戶端合作式OFDM 系統之協定設計與分 析。子計畫三負責OFDM 系統之空時編解碼與其相關之空時訊號處理機制。子計畫四負 責應用於多輸入多輸出正交分頻(MIMO-OFDM) 系統,除一般的使用者之間的合作,也 將進一步的考慮基地台之間的合作。子計劃五負責提出一個硬體平台以作為合作式 OFDM 無線系統之實現。希望透過本整合型計畫之執行、能對合作式OFDM 通訊系統作完 整而全面性的探討,並提供我國未來發展前瞻通訊系統之參考。
Cooperation communication can efficiently provide spatial diversity and overcome the channel fading effect. It has been shown that cooperation systems can significantly outperform the non-cooperation ones. The purpose of this integrated project is to develop the key technologies for the MAC layer and PHY layer of cooperated OFDM system, and to implement the prototype of the PHY layer, all within three years. The project is comprised of five sub-projects. Sub-project one is for the design cross-layer mechanism for cooperative systems and study the quality of service. Sub-project two is for the research of the PHY protocol and the performance analysis of cooperative systems. Sub-project three is for the research of space-time coding/decoding, and related signal processing mechanism. Sub-project four is for the research of cooperated MIMO-OFDM systems, with the addition of base-station cooperations. Sub-project five is for the development of a hardware platform for the realization of cooperative systems. It is anticipated that a comprehensive study of the cooperated OFDM system can be made through the execution of this integrated project. The result may also serve as a reference for the development of the future advanced wireless communication systems.
