dc.description.abstractLaser trapping and structural formation in neat liquid materialsWe have carried out the laser trapping-induced phenomena in liquids of organic compounds. We investigated how the molecules are gathered and reoriented cooperatively into a domain or configuration upon focused laser irradiation. We found that the trapping beam induces not only molecular alignment, but also cooperative effects, leading to the formation of a small area with different optical properties in single component material.en_US
